Our goal is to have a positive influence in Nevada County by encouraging energy conservation and renewable energy generation. We see a future where an environmentally conscious community has reduced its energy use and is enjoying the benefits of locally generated clean power.

We work with other agencies in the county to encourage conservation and hold regular educational meetings that cover a full spectrum of energy related topics from bio fuels to wind farms and micro-hydro projects.

We've worked with PG&E to bring Home Performance Contracting training to Nevada County and have assisted in the education of more than 40 residents, many of whom have been able to apply the lessons learned in their business or home to reduce energy consumptions and make their environment more comfortable

Our meetings are held at the Methodist Church on Broad Street in Nevada City. Check out News & Events for our next meeting.
